Phototherapy
Phototherapy is a treatment for moderate to severe psoriasis involving ultraviolet light. Several treatments administered over a period of weeks or months is typical. Patients may experience symptoms similar to acute sunburn reaction. Phototherapy is not recommended for patients under 12 years of age, those with a history of light sensitivity, or those with a history of melanoma or aphakia.
