Short-incision Facelift
A short scar face-lift is a minimally invasive, limited incision lift which gives patients the same results as the traditional procedure. The surgery performed beneath the skin remains unchanged, but the incision made is about half the length of that made in a traditional lift. It is generally appropriate for people who show aging in the mid-face and do not have a severe amount of excess skin around the jawline and neck.
Scarring in a short scar lift occurs in front of the ear and just behind it. Unlike traditional lifts, the hairline is usually unaffected, allowing women to wear their hair back. This procedure takes between 90 minutes to three hours, which is roughly half the time of a traditional facelift.
